You did such a incredible job on Zarah, because of her facial features, beautiful hairstyle, dress and angelic wings!

The colouring is really beautiful like this.

this is well shaded and i like her pose much~i can see tat u use greys alot, sometimes they tend to make a pic look muddy~tho i would suggest leave the greys but add richer warm darks to her shadeness to add color variance~jus my 2 cents~great stuff~:)

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I'm pretty new to colored pencil. I'm still experimenting with it. :D

Whoa. I can't admire the details enough, especially the earrings! :jawdrop: What is the size of the original? Cause when I think of drawing in those ear-rings... *shudder*
And I adore your coloured pencil technique, especially the thick texture of the hair, achieving this with coloured pencils - wow. And the skin tones are very well done, too, a little dark and very warm, which fits her really well. The pose is amazing, as well, there is no awkwardness in it, although the picture-right shoulder might be a tad too long in comparison with the other one, but it may be just me. I adore the transparency of the wings, I always dread drawing transparency. Wait, what isn't there that I don't dread drawing?... *deep sigh*
A beautiful one and I love all the warm tones.

Thank you very much! The original is 12 x 12", so its not that big. Just the thought of doing a really big colored pencil drawing makes my hand hurt. ;)

And I see what you mean about the shoulder. :D

The cloth folds look really lovely; I hate drawing proper flowing cloth, I can never figure it out. >.< Anyway, the skin looks great too, and so does the hair. In fact, it all looks good again! :D Might as well just say that straight out and save a little bit of typing. :P No, seriously, it's great, and deserves lots of typing! :)

Simply beautiful. You did this in pencil? *sigh* How can one person have so much talent... I especially love her hair - it looks so real! And the highlighting on her skin - makes her look like she's all shimmery. I've tried to get that effect, but it always looks so wrong - not so for you!

 Thank you! Colored pencils are starting to grow on me. They are quicker than painting. For the skin, I marked the highlights with a white colored pencil first and then I colored in the rest. Then after I had all the coloring and shading done, I went over the highlights again to brighten them back up. I screwed up one version and had to start over, so this was a second try. :giggle:

I love the glossy coils of hair so beautifully arranged, and she has such a noble profile. The skin tones are magnificently real. The entire composition of the picture works beautifully, from the pose, to the background emblem.

Wow- lovely, sumptuous terracotta colours you've used here- very effective with the gold colours. Great skin tone work too- especially with the shines. :)
